Brett Smith has been an integral part of Lifetime Docks since 2001, joining forces with Tom LeJeune to help shape the company into what it is today. With 24 years of dock-building experience, Brett has witnessed firsthand the evolution of the industry as boating continues to thrive on East Tennessee’s lakes.

His extensive hands-on expertise has prepared him for his current role—managing new dock builds at our Build Crew facility at Clearwater Cove Marina. Brett’s leadership and deep understanding of dock construction ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

With decades of experience under his belt, Brett remains dedicated to delivering top-tier docks built to last.

Meet Justin West – New Dock Sales Manager

Justin joined Lifetime Docks in October 2025 as our New Dock Sales Manager, bringing a strong commitment to customer service and a passion for helping customers turn their waterfront dreams into reality.

A proud Campbell County native, Justin is honored to serve the community he calls home. He is also a devoted husband and father of four wonderful elementary-aged children, and he believes in treating every customer with the same care and respect he values in his own family.

Jessie Lay joined the Lifetime Docks Touchless Boat Cover division in January 2026, working alongside Patrick Boring to bring this innovative boat protection solution to customers throughout Middle and East Tennessee. With a strong commitment to customer service and quality workmanship, Jessie is dedicated to helping boat owners find the best way to protect their investment.

As part of our factory-trained and certified Touchless Boat Cover team, Jessie assists with consultations, installations, and customer support, ensuring every project is completed with professionalism and attention to detail. He enjoys meeting fellow boaters and helping them discover the convenience and peace of mind that a Touchless Boat Cover provides.

Outside of work, Jessie is a proud father to his beautiful daughter. When he’s not spending time with family or helping customers, you’ll likely find him enjoying the open road on his Harley-Davidson.

Meet Chad Davis – Service Manager & CAD Designer

If there were an award for wearing the most hats at Lifetime Docks, Chad would win it every time! In fact, he currently holds the company record for the most job titles—and for good reason. Since joining our team in April 2024 as our Purchasing Manager, Chad has continually stepped up wherever he’s needed, proving himself to be the ultimate team player.

Over the years, Chad’s role has evolved tremendously. From assisting with New Dock Sales and managing our Social Media to creating detailed CAD drawings for new dock projects, he’s always willing to take on a new challenge. Today, Chad leads our Service Department while continuing to provide CAD designs that help bring our customers’ waterfront visions to life.

His versatility, dedication, and positive attitude make him an invaluable part of the Lifetime Docks family.

Introducing Brett Bolton: He is the newest member of the Lifetime Docks HydroHoist boat lift team, joining us June 2026. He is bringing with him a strong work ethic, a passion for learning, and a determination to succeed. As a motivated and hardworking individual, Brett is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Finance, combining technical expertise with business knowledge to build a well-rounded foundation for his future.

Throughout his academic journey, Brett has developed a deep interest in technology and innovation. He enjoys learning new skills in both the technology and business worlds, constantly seeking opportunities to expand his knowledge and challenge himself. His curiosity and commitment to personal growth make him a valuable asset to the team.

Outside of academics, Brett is passionate about fitness and entrepreneurship. He believes in maintaining a disciplined lifestyle and is always looking for ways to improve both personally and professionally. Whether he is working toward fitness goals, exploring new business ideas, or developing technical skills, Brett approaches every challenge with enthusiasm and dedication.
